Purchasing SonoBat
Since its UK launch in March 2020 we have constantly tweaked and improved SonoBat. One thing though has remained constant; the price.
We are conscious that costs for individuals and small companies are rising, we are also not immune and our overheads have risen steeply over the last couple of years. Against this backdrop we have looking at ways to make SonoBat more affordable to new customers whilst covering (some) of our own increased costs. Existing customers Do Not Panic!, you won’t be disadvantaged.
So today we have fundamentally changed our UK pricing strategy to an Annual Subscription service.
UK & Eire – £250 per year inc VAT
Universal- £150 per year inc VAT
Those of you who have already purchased Perpetual Licences, they are protected and the changes will not affect you. Furthermore if you wish to purchase additional Perpetual licences this option will still be available to you.
For those of you who have already purchased Annual Year 2 licences you will be able to renew, on your existing renewal date, at the old price and obtain a Perpetual licence.
For those of you who have already purchased an Annual Year 1 licence you will have a choice. You can either continue as before and on your final renewal receive a Perpetual licence,
OR, switch to the new subscription service. If you choose the later, upon your renewal date we will deduct the price difference between a Year 1 and the new subscription rate and give you this as a discount
e.g For someone who has purchased a Year 1 licence (UK & Eire) for £320, at renewal they can purchase a year subscription for £180.
ie £250 – £70, the discount being the difference in price Annual – Subscription.
For new customers the subscription will run from the purchase date for 12 months. As at present a warning pop-up will advise you that your subscription will shortly expire.
Discounts for Multi-licence purchases, Educational establishments and Conservation groups will still be available.

Qualcomm Snapdragon X CPU
This is an urgent warning to anyone upgrading their Windows PC or Laptop to one using a Qualcomm Snapdragon X CPU. Installing SonoBat will immediately crash your device. This is not directly a SonoBat issue but results from issues with National Instruments LabView software which SonoBat utilises. Until these issues are resolved DO NOT attempt to install SonoBat on a device running one of these CPUs. One example is the new Microsoft Surface Pro 11 laptop. We will give more information when we have it.
